When A.P.A. Industries, Inc. was founded in 1984 by the current owner and car enthusiast, Barry Seeman, the company's focus was retail mail order. Shortly thereafter, a key company decision was made to become a major manufacturer / warehouse distributor in the luxury European automobile parts and accessories market. At that time, the long process of evaluating factories to produce a line of high quality parts and accessories began. In early 1991, A.P.A. Industries, Inc. contracted with factories in several countries to produce it's initial line of parts and accessories. The strength and depth of the British program led the way in the aftermarket replacement parts division. A.P.A. became known among insiders in the industry for late model and hard to find classic parts at reasonable prices, but most of the products remained privately labeled by its distributors. Some of the largest import parts distributors in the U.S. and abroad began to take notice. During the next 19 years, the company grew into a leading supplier of parts and accessories for Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, MG, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Saab, Volvo, and Volkswagen. Extensive R&D and many product additions have made the European line of aftermarket replacement parts the leading division of A.P.A. Industries, Inc. However, since 1999, A.P.A. has been approached by several car manufacturers to produce products directly. A.P.A.'s OEM division has been growing rapidly ever since and now makes up a substantial portion of overall sales. Saab, Volvo, Jaguar and Mitsubishi are just a few of this division's new customers.
In 2004, A.P.A. decided to create it's own brand name for the European aftermarket parts division. ÜRO Parts was created on the premise of providing a better choice to the European replacement spare parts industry. Far too often, if there has been a choice at all, it has been a choice between the lesser of two evils - a 100 year old brand overcharging for a name you’ll never see, or a brand known for their inadequacies of engineering, materials, and quality control. A.P.A.'s mission with it's ÜRO Parts brand is to fill this void by offering the highest standards in precision, materials, and workmanship in all of the products being manufactured, while allowing its distributors to realize greater profits and the end user to see the value in their purchase. To accomplish this goal, each new product idea is evaluated by A.P.A. professionals to decide which of its longtime partners and factories can offer the best results in design, durability, function, and price. A.P.A.'s distinguishing characteristics do not stop at the product level. Continued investment in technology helps data to move seamlessly between A.P.A. and its distributors, customer incentives help bolster the ability of its distributors to stay competitive in the marketplace, and professionals with combined experience of over 100 years help distributors in any way they can. As a result, A.P.A. now supports distributors in North America, Central and South America, Europe, Australia, and the Caribbean. In the coming years, A.P.A. will expand its product offering in all divisions. The ÜRO Parts brand will continue to offer OEM quality products at aggressive prices while striving to be the most successful customer support organization in the automotive industry, and the OEM division will work to supply more products directly to car manufacturers.
